Week12 Introduction to TRIZ

The last module is taught by Prof. Ang. (pic from left) He is very friendly, helpful and always put on a smilling face. In his class, he always commented positively, this make me feel comfortable attending his lesson. I believe there is more I can understand and learn from him in personal character building.
So much on Prof. Ang. Let talk on TRIZ.

What is TRIZ?
TRIZ is a problem solving method based on logic and data, not intuition, which accelerates the project team's ability to solve these problems creatively. TRIZ also provides repeatability, predictability, and reliability due to its structure and algorithmic approach. Some of the analytic methods are:

  • The Ideal Final Result and Ideality
  • Functional Modeling, Analysis and Trimming
  • Locating the Zones of Conflict

Some are more prescriptive such as:

  • The 40 Inventive principles of Problem Solving
  • The separation Principles
  • Laws of Technical Evolution and Technology Forecasting
  • 76 Standard Solutions

Those who are interested to know in TRIZ in depth and practice 40 principles of problem Solving, visit this website http://www.triz-journal.com/whatistriz.htm. This website also show some example on using TRIZ to come out with possible solutions on a particular problem.
